There is now just ONE DAY until MPs vote on the revived assisted suicide Bill on Friday 11th September. Only 12 MPs need to switch for it to be defeated.
Today, I need you to take a new action.
Please take less than a minute now to send your MP important new polling for your constituency that they need to see before next Friday’s vote. If you don’t have time to read the rest of the email, please click here to email your MP now.
WHY YOUR MP NEEDS TO SEE THIS
The polling from Whitestone Insight is the largest public poll conducted on assisted suicide since the Leadbeater assisted suicide Bill was introduced.
Crucially, it includes seat-by-seat results for your constituency. A majority in your constituency agree with the Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, that Parliament should prioritise fixing the NHS and improving social and end-of-life care.
The polling also shows that a majority in your constituency do not want their MP to support a law pushed through Parliament without full scrutiny and approval by both Houses – meaning there is no local mandate for bypassing the House of Lords to force this Bill into law.
This needs to get in front of your MP as soon as possible, so they can see what people in your constituency think before they vote on Friday 11 September.
The Other Half, which commissioned the polling, has launched an easy tool that lets you email your MP with the poll results for your constituency and ask them to vote against the Bill next Friday.
The email also raises serious concerns about the dangers the Bill poses to vulnerable women, especially victims of domestic abuse and coercive control.
Even if you have already contacted your MP about the Bill, please use this separate tool as well. It sends them different, constituency-specific evidence that they need to see before the vote.

VOLUNTEERING CAN BE SO REWARDING
As Catholics we need to have access to Holy Mass, and so to feel part of a caring community. Could you do something that helps our housebound friends to be able to do both things? Yes, it could be you.
We can train you quickly and constantly help you to get and develop the skills which will help you at work, in your studies, and in your everyday life. You would learn to set up and operate the kit to broadcast the Mass at 10.00am on Sundays. It may sound ‘too hard’ but those who do it now learnt in a few sessions and were competent. The team and written guidance supported them along the way. So, yes you could do it.
As one of our team will be leaving to train for the priesthood and another is getting married and moving away we’re getting to the stage where we may not be able to continue the weekly broadcasts, so please think hard, and yes, it could be you.

CAFOD Venezuela Earthquake Appeal - As you will have no doubt seen in the news, the situation in Northern Venezuela is dire after two devastating earthquakes struck in quick succession near Caracas last Wednesday night, 24th June. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the people of Venezuela whose needs are so great at this time. Many of our neighbours in Venezuela were already struggling with basic needs and services, so your support will be needed beyond the vital search and rescue work happening right now.
