CHURCH STEWARDS

Thank you to all our Stewards who make attendance at Church possible, as we continue to work at remaining safe whilst in Church.

Please contact Fr David if you would like to join this invaluable team or, would like any further information.

At St John's we are very fortunate to have Parishioners who tirelessly dedicate their time to supporting our Parish and the local Community.  Are you willing/able to volunteer your time/commitment?

There are many varied Volunteer roles:

Church cleaning; Church grounds maintenance - Gardening, Litter picking; Church Flowers; Greeters; Readers; Singers; Musicians; Social events helpers - refreshment servers/washing up; Children's Liturgy, Eucharistic Ministers to name just a small selection.

If you would like to know more about how to get involved you can speak to Fr David, Fr Theo or any of the Stewards (preferably after Mass).

Do You Need to Apply For A DBS Certificate or Does Your Existing DBS Certificate Need Renewing?

All volunteers must complete the Safer Recruitment Process in full before taking up any role within the Parish.

In order to help safeguard children and vulnerable adults, all Parish Volunteers working with them need to have a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check completed. These checks need to take place at least once every three years.

For New Applicants:

If you haven’t registered as a Volunteer with Salford Diocese before and have never had a DBS with the Diocese then you will have to fill in a Volunteer Registration form and provide two references.
